German WWII Fieldpost - U-Boat "Hela" (Mi.13b) 1943 cover franked with the U-Boat adhesive, left margin single, canceled Feldpost 06.4.45, addressed to Hamburg with violet "Feldpost Nummer 12512", cover folded away from the stamp, tears and folds, still fine and extremely rare, albeit likely Philatelic usage, with 1981 and 2023 Petry certificates, ex-Erivan (in early 1945, the German 31st Infantry Division was trapped on the Hel Peninsula, a heavily fortified 35-km long sand bar peninsula off of Gdansk, Poland. In March 1945, the Hela U-Boat stamp was printed by the Division's mapping unit, intended for use on mail transported by U-boats supplying the Germans. Since conventional naval traffic never ceased, the stamps were not used as intended, but are sometimes found used on surface mail) €15,000 (Image)
