 SABA. Bk. G8z-3 geschreven te Saba op 23-9-1886, verzonden van het hulppostkantoor SABA op 28-9 per sloep naar Sint-Eustatius, daar op het postkantoor op 29-9 aangekomen (kleinrond op az.), van daaruit op 5-10 verzonden naar de chef van
het postkantoor van de hoofdplaats Basseterre te St. Kitts en daar op 8-10 aangekomen. Het zegelbeeld is met puntstempel 209 afgestempeld (miniem krasje bij de 9), linksonder de afstempeling van het kleinrondstempel SABA. Dit is een van de
allerzeldzaamste poststempels van West-Indië, ons slechts een paar poststukken bekend. Tentoonstellingsstuk! Afgebeeld in JB. op p.113 met uitgebreide toelichting op p.113-114. Ex Bouwman. SABA. 7½ cent postcard written at Saba on 23 Sep 1886, sent
from the sub-post office SABA on 28 Sep by sloop to Sint-Eustatius, received at the post office on 29 Sep (backstamped). The card was held at the post office until 5 Oct when it was forwarded by vessel to the post master of St Kitts, received on 8
Oct. The postage imprint is cancelled with the numeral and dots postmark 209 and in the bottom left corner with the small-round postmark SABA which is one of the rarest postmarks of the Dutch West Indies, we know of only a few on entire recorded.

 SABA. Dubbele bk. met nog aanhangende, onbeschreven en niet-afgestempelde antwoordkaart G10 bijgefr. met 2½ cent nr. 15 in verticaal paar, geschreven te Saba op 4/6/95, met luxe afstempelingen van vierkantstempels SABA 8-6-1895 in violet,
vervolgens St. EUSTATIUS 9-6-1895 en 10-6-1895 in zwartviolet. De kaart heeft als bestemming de USA, maar is niet verder gekomen dan St. Eustatius. De opmerking van het postkantoor te St. Eustatius luidt: 'forbidden by the last clause of the 2nd part
of art: 12 of the Publications Sheet of 1892 No. 23'. Dit betreft een dubbele briefkaart voor binnenlands gebruik; voor buitenlands gebruik is er een dubbele kaart van 7½ cent waarop tevens de verplichte Franstalige tekst (Image)
