Autographed letter (5 x 6 inches) written in pencil dated 9 Dec, 1899 from COLONEL BADEN-POWELL to Major Panzera asking him to become acting CSO in the place of Lord Edward Cecil (son of the British Prime Minister) who was hospitalized. Baden-Powell rose to fame defending Mafeking during the Boer War. He later started the Scouting movement & achieved worldwide recognition.
