Argentina #123-4, Tied by Buenos Aires 1903 CDS's on 3 diff illustrated postcards. Each depicts a diff Argentine Naval Officer involved in the rescue of the Swedish Antarctic Expedition members after their ship was destroyed by ice (all members were miraculously rescued). As a result, Argentina made claim to Antarctic Territory. The postcards were mailed to Italy & each has Italian Postage Due Stamps affixed. A reference article accompanies. F-VF.
