United States P.O. Dept Return Receipt card 9 May, 1947 for a Reg'd letter sent from DR HUGO ECKENER, c/o Goodyear Aircraft Co. in Akron Ohio to Otto Seibel (noted Zeppelin stamp collector) in St Louis. Eckener was the Commander of the famous Graf Zeppelin for most of its record-setting flights during the interwar years. He was responsible for the construction of the most successful airships of all time. After WWII he was involved in a plan by the Goodyear Zeppelin Corp to build rigid airships but nothing ever came of it.
