Collection of 7 diff German b/w real photo postcards depicting the Armistice between Germany & France on 22 June 1940. The postcards depict Hitler & his staff receiving the French delegation for the formal signing of the Armistice. The Germans incl high ranking men like Hess, Keitel, Goring, Ribbentrop, Braunchitsch & others. In a cruel irony, Hitler deliberately chose the Compiegne Forest as the site to sign the armistice. He brought the original railway coach to the spot where Germany signed the armistice with France which brought WWI to a close in 1918.
