1803 cover from Saint John to Fredericton rated PAID 'IN3'. On the front side has rare Saint John "SHIP LETTER" (previously reported only in 1810, this example is 7 years earlier). On reverse has a scarce "ST JOHN. N.B. NOV. 22. 1803" 2-line h/s. The
cover was sent by a Deputy Surveyor to George Sproule, Surveyor General of New Brunswick at Fredericton. F, some toning. A great item of the postal historian. Ex Glassco & Malcolm Montgomery (Image)

folded letter written by Retchard Pemray datelined Restigouche (now Campbellton) 30 April, 1832 to Quebec. This letter was carried overland & posted at Miramichi, then by boat to Halifax then by Eastern Stage Coach Co. (which started in 1830) to
Halifax and onto Fredericton NB (where it received a circular Fredericton NB 13 My b/s). It then travelled on to Quebec. Has various accountancy markings. Detailed write-up accompanies explaining the route, rates, etc. A translation of the letter
