N.Y.K. Line colour illustrated letter card/menu from aboard Passenger ship "TATSUTA MARU" 28 Oct 1931. Beautiful image of vintage sailing ship on inside and world map showing routes on back. The ship served as a WWII troop carrier, thence a
diplomatic exchange vessel. In Jan 1943 she carried 1,180 mainly CANADIAN POW's from Hong Kong to Nagasaki (due to conditions aboard, referred to as "HELL SHIP"). Was sunk by US Submarine "Tarpon" 8 Feb 1943. F-VF (Image)
