The stamps pay the 7½ Pence rate (via Halifax) in effect from 1 Aug 1854. Has nice red Liverpool Tombstone Packet Letter Paid 17 Ja 1855 arrival postmark. F-VF, the Bisect stamp is affected by a file fold, but all stamps with full margins (quite unusual). F-VF. A remarkably fresh cover & the SECOND EARLIEST KNOWN USAGE OF THIS RATE TO ENGLAND.
