Vance Auctions Ltd. Sale - 366

Worldwide Internet/Mail Sale - January 24, 2024

Welcome to our January 24th auction with over 7,700 worldwide lots to choose from. This is one of our larger and bulkier sales in some years. You will find an interesting and varied range of stamps, collections, varieties, errors, and postal history. Here are some of the highlights:
  • In-depth classic Canada with over 60 lots of Pence issues, plus 1859's, Large and Small Queens, and Jubilees to $5.
  • Good section of Trinidad and Tobago with classic issues, singles, sets, and varieties.
  • Strong showing of Confederate States with singles, covers, and Postmaster Provisionals. There is also nice early Hawaii with Certificates.
  • Classic United States with #1's and #2's, Grills, 1869's, and Columbians to $5. There are many scarce proofs and covers to be found as well.
  • Many aviation covers and postcards from a wide range of countries. These include Zeppelins, pioneer aviation flights, and postcards of early aircraft and pilots.
  • Good section of Italy including key sets, singles, errors, and postcards.
  • Great sections of Newfoundland and Canada Provinces from Pence issues up to later issues with singles, covers, blocks, imperforates, and Proofs.
  • Great Britain with many scarce items including an unused Penny Black with Certificate, two different Five Pound Orange Specimens, One Pound Seahorse Specimen mint and used single. There is a nice section of GB covers, Mulreadys, and postcards.
  • Hundreds of larger lots including collections, boxes full, estate lots, and dealer stocks. These are all estimated reasonably and will appeal to both collectors and dealers alike.
Don't forget that there is No Buyer's Fee at Vance Auctions and bidding is in inexpensive Canadian dollars. There is no extra charge for credit card use. Bidding information displayed at Stamp Auction Network for our auction lots is now being updated. Bidding on items in the sale will continue until Midnight EST on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.

Please note that bids come in from many sources in addition to SAN (including e-mail, telephone, fax, mail, and our own web site). Even if your bid is 'green' at SAN when bidding ends, you could still be outbid. If your bid turns 'red' after Midnight on the last night of bidding, it means that a higher bid was received from another source before Midnight. Auction results for Sale #366 will be posted at www.vanceauctions.com on the evening of Saturday, January 27th.

Good luck with your bids!
