(7.15), an example of the last mail carried on the Shantung Railway connecting with the Trans-Siberian Railway which was not detained; July 20 Kiautschou 2c postal card from Tsingtau to Berlin, canceled by "Tsingtau/Kiautschou" c.d.s., detained, censored, and returned for release via German P.O. in Shanghai and United States, with December 1 delivery; July 20 picture post card from Tsingtau to Germany, "via Sibirien", showing "Tsingtau/Kiautschou" c.d.s., detained, censored and showing "Shanghai/Deutsche/Post" c.d.s. (9.16), released in September with October/November delivery; the first Shantung Railway train carrying mail which was detained; and July 24 Kiautschou 2c postal card from Tsingtau to Paderborn, Germany, canceled by "Tsingtau-Tsinanfu/Bahnpost/Zug 1" oval datestamp, detained, censored and released in October and returned to the German P.O. in Shanghai for transmission via the United Sates to Paderborn (Dec. 14), the latest recorded date for intercepted/delayed mail with this Railway Post Office cancellation, Fine to Very Fine or better.
