92 imageChina, Useful Mint and Used Collection, 1878-1974, on Scott pages in an International Junior binder, with good Empire, Republic and Taiwan; pages for PRC, but only three stamps noted; begins with Large and Small Dragons, First Printing Dowagers complete, mix of Small and Large Figure surcharges, Red Revenues with 1c (large box) and Large 2c surcharges, nice Coiling Dragons with Waterlow overprints to $2, solid Junks (to $2, used) and early commemoratives, extensive Sun Yat-sens and Martyrs including Provincial surcharges, CNCs, Golds and Silvers, plus Dues, Parcel Posts, Japanese Occupations, etc., plus presentation folder for 40th Anniversary of the Chinese Post Office (#335-338); Taiwan mostly mint including #1037-1040 perforated and imperforate and 1077-1091 perforated and imperforate; some faults among earlies as expected, but generally fresh and clean; a lovely collection on which to build—or to break down for easy sales, Fine to Very Fine with much better, fully imaged online. 93 imageChina, Eclectic Array of Stamps and Covers, a "bit of this, bit of that" holding, fresh throughout with plenty of interest; stamps range from late Republic (including larger blocks of CNCs) to 2011-2012 PRC on Minkus pages, including PRC #141-150 reprints, 980 used, a few part-sets (some with imprints), a nice mix of 1980s issues in blocks of four, Republic #B9a mint, Taiwan #1114a mint (with tab though creased), Manchukuo block of 4 with strongly shifted overprint, British Offices in China and a couple Hong Kong items (Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II), Bo Tsing Locals complete, etc., etc.; covers mostly late Republic multi-frankings but also include several red band covers, one of which franked with Russia 7k Romanov tied by "Harbin-263-Vladivostok" railway cancel, a 1937 "Headquarters of the Generalissimo" corner card envelope (with typed letter on behalf of Madame Chiang regarding the fight against the Japanese), a 1925 cover from Rev. Hallock with letter and New Year's God of Wealth poster, two Embassy of the Netherlands covers, and more besides; a fun lot well worth careful review, Fine to Very Fine or better, fully imaged online.
