767   imageA Century of Accumulations - U.S. & Worldwide Stocks, Collections, Approval Material and Covers in 50 Moving Boxes Plus Four Drawers, Enormous, wide-ranging holding assembled from the remnants of a long-established, approximately 70-year approval business and a 30-year auction-house operation. A genuine "searcher's" lot of exceptional scale, containing a remarkable cross-section of U.S. and worldwide stamps, stocks, collections, covers, approvals, bundleware, specialized groups, and dealer material accumulated over many decades.
The lot includes a highly organized used U.S. stock, with numerous issues represented in quantities of hundreds and reflecting hundreds of hours of sorting and arrangement. Also present are attractive country collections and specialized holdings, including French Andorra mint with the first set, Canada, German States, an AMG collection on specialized pages, Faroe Islands never hinged through 2015, Philippines back-of-the-book material, and a specialized group of Algeria provisional-independence overprints.
Among the many additional areas noted are mint never-hinged approval stocks from a variety of countries; mint stocks of Switzerland, Germany, France, Monaco, and others; early U.S. bundleware; Hong Kong regular-issue bundleware; a particularly strong France used stock, generally in select quality and concentrated in the first half of the twentieth century, reportedly containing many tens of thousands of dollars in catalogue value; and many hundreds of worldwide covers.
Further highlights include three custom "values" books holding never-hinged euro-denominated issues from 2000-01, with stated face value exceeding €1,100; U.S. face value distributed throughout the holding; never-hinged China; classic French India; and more modern Belgian issues. Material ranges from organized dealer stock to unexplored envelopes, packets, bundles, albums, pages, and miscellaneous accumulations-exactly the sort of setting in which better items can appear in the most ordinary-looking surroundings.
The sheer quantity prevented a complete review of every box, envelope, and group. Consequently, this offering should be viewed as a major opportunity for the patient buyer, collector, dealer, or internet reseller willing to devote the time needed to sort and properly evaluate it. An enormous worldwide holding with substantial total market potential, offered as received and strongly recommended for personal inspection.
