3327 og 95 image1867, 5¢ brown, F. grill (Scott 95), o.g., barest trace of hinge (appears never hinged), absolutely gorgeous color, complete grill impression, remarkably fresh, Choice Very Fine for this virtually impossible issue, most grills are scarce in sound centered full o.g. condition because of the small supplies printed and tight spacing on the printing plates, with 1982 P.F. certificate.
Scott $3,500.

The narrow spacing between stamps on the plate and large 12-gauge perforations resulted in stamps that are frequently off-center. None are easy to locate in centered original-gum condition (to understate the matter), but the limited production of 5¢ F. grills leaves collectors with an even smaller supply.
