Munich, Germany; central vertical file fold clear of stamps, Very Fine, approximately 15 examples of the entire set on first day cover have been recorded. Scott $30,000.
Despite the lack of backstamps, we have no doubt
this cover is a genuine item. First, we know of a cover identical to this one (same addressee, arrangement of stamps, Washington D.C. substation cancel color and location, registry label placement except of course for different label and registry
numbers (19468/19450), and that cover is backstamped NY and Munich. Furthermore, there are two other covers with the same arrangement of stamps, Washington D.C. substation cancel color and location, registry label placement addressed in the same hand
