5 cover 6 image1848, Queen Victoria (embossed), 10d brown (Scott 6), vertical pair, used with a pair of 2d blue (4), all tied by Liverpool "466" numeral cancels on a folded cover to New York; red "PAID" and "5/CENTS" (credit) handstamps, with "Liverpool/H.R.H./ AP15/ 1853/ A" c.d.s. on the reverse; the 10d pair was partly separated prior to use and has only two margins, while the 2d pair has narrow margins but a small nick at the lower right; the cover has a horizontal file fold and slight edge wear, but is generally Fine; a resonably attractive example of this rare 2s franking.
