They Were at Pearl Harbor, 1912-45, 6 volumes with hundreds of US Navy ships that were present in Hawaii at the start of
WWII; the pages all say "They were at Pearl Harbor 7 December 1941" and have been typed by the consignor with covers mounted with photo corners, some may have only one example, and others like the USS Pennsylvania have 36; some have autographs
like Seaman First Class John C Pfeifer who served on USS Tennessee; the collector typed 7 pages just about the USS West Virginia before showing a cover addressed to W G Crosby who had already retired from service when postmarked
in 1930; attractive envelopes from the USS Utah, USS New Orleans, USS San Francisco (6 autographed covers), and dozens of others; the write up for the USS Arizona is 6 typed pages and includes a Penalty envelope from the ship addressed
to the Secretary of the Naval War College; the scholarship of the writing (the author was a historian) and wide-ranging examples of postal history, autographs, and personal notes are extraordinary; number of covers are in the hundreds; impossible to
duplicate, Fine to Very Fine. Shipping charges apply - weight 38 lbs. (Image)
