Liechtenstein & Austria, "Finally, Together Again!" Mint & Used Collections, 1850-1988, Before Liechtenstein hooked up with
Switzerland, they were closely tied to the Austrian Empire. This lot brings them back together and I'm going to save the best for last, because as good as the Austrian collection is, Liechtenstein is even better… way better! Austria
(1850-1969) is a mostly mint collection in a Minkus album with all stamps in mounts and features such highlights as used #1-5, 27-33, 41-46, 127, C54-60, PR9, and mint 326-39, 340-53, 405-27, 428-31, 520-26, B87-92, B93-98, B100-05, B106-09,
B110, B112-17, B269-71, C12-31, C32-46. Liechtenstein (1912-88) is actually easier to describe because it's almost all here. As a matter of fact, the only major catalogue numbers missing in action are #115 & 131. The first part of this
collection, which is entirely mint except for about 15 stamps, is in a Minkus album with all stamps in mounts, and the second half with stamps up to 1988 in a hingeless Lindner. Additional Kleinbogen are also present, with such better as 165,
395, 557. When viewing the scans online, in the two Minkus albums you will see staining on some pages due to the use of tape, yet the stamps themselves appear to be unscathed. Scans & video online for your perusal, generally Fine to Very Fine.
