Dominican Republic, Compelling Mint Airmail Collection with Covers, 1897-1960, A very attractive homemade mint collection of
airmail stamps hinged on pages along with 18 covers all to international destinations including a first flight from San Domingo to San José (Costa Rica). Stamp highlights include mint 407, C10-17, C14-14a (se-tenant pair), C24-31, C57-61, C86a,
CB13-15 (perf & imperf sheetlets), CO1-2. In addition, 19 loose covers with such curiosities as an 1897 cover with two bisects of #89 mailed from Sabana de la Mar, #252 on a paquebot cover cancelled in San Juan, an 1899 cover with a postal stationery
cut-out used as postage, addressed to Curaçao and re-directed to St. Thomas, and a 1936 internal cover addressed to the then-president Rafael Trujillo with #299 and #303, which was obligatory for use on all mail to the president. This neat collection
