Fournier "Album de Fac-Similés" Collection, 1928. The original one volume number 455 of the 480 produced contains a
treasure trove of hundreds of the outstanding facsimiles created by the master of reproduction, Fournier. It appears to be in the original binding with only a very little wear. Introduction by Heinrich Kohler and Fred J. Melville who were leading
Philatelists of the period. Certainly, one of the few albums to survive as most have been broken up to obtain the individual stamps, multiples and even a few full sheets, overprints, cancels and surcharges. This album even contains photostats of
items not included in the Fournier stock. Published by L’Union Philatélique de Genève," it blends both the philatelic recreation of masterpieces with literature and is of the highest rarity and desirability. Overall, in excellent condition. There
have been about 20 stamps removed with some small effect on several pages. This doesn’t detract from the overall beauty and rarity of this collection. Shipping charges apply - weight 7.4 lbs. (Video for this lot) (Video2 for this
