967   imageWorldwide, "Cover Story" Over a Century of Postal History with Much U.S., Germany & Others, 1890s-1990s, Every cover has a story and here are at least 5000 of them but probably much more, and more than half from the U.S. with many FDCs going back to the 1920s, hundreds of covers pertaining to the Vietnam War, much of which is centered around stamps honoring Vietnam Veterans, such as the ones issued in 1979 & 1984, as well as a binder of free franking covers cancelled aboard U.S. Navy vessels, and hundreds of used & unused pieces of postal stationery and picture postcards. Second in volume is probably Germany with much from the Reich but also many into the modern era. On the worldwide stage, also much from Belgium, Sweden, the U.N. commemorative editions on the Bicentennial of the American Revolution and a Tribute to the Statue of Liberty, various picture postcards from the early 20th century, over 100 unused postal cards from Poland, a cover album filled with WWI Feldpost from Eastern Europe and much more, overall Fine to Very Fine, a lot such as this requires personal inspection. Covers, 1915-19, To be exact, 105 covers in two binders. 22 of these covers are annotated on pages and include many from German prisoners, such as two from Pietermaritzburg (Natal), one to Saxony and the other to Heidelberg (Transvaal), a P.O.W. camp in Kurume, Japan written to his wife in Shanghai, another from Ahmednagar, India to Rhineland, and yet another from Isle of Man to New York.
