760   imageVietnam (South), Convincing Collection of Propaganda Leaflets (Chiêu Hôi), 1960s-1970s, in a large cover album filled with 175+ propaganda leaflets, 30+ pieces of "Hell Money" with political figures and celebrities such as John F. Kennedy, Marilyn Monroe, Jackie Kennedy, Stalin, Khruschev, James Dean, Bogart, Mao Zedong, Eisenhower, Ho Chi Minh, Lyndon B. Johnson, etc., also includes some military currency and a few earlier Vietnamese banknotes. Propaganda leaflets are fascinating as they produced many thousands of different leaflets, some of which are very difficult to find. Many of these are identified with leaflet numbers which makes identification very easy. This collection not only contains the American leaflets along with small booklets detailing the surrender process along with details about reward money for information or for military equipment, but also some very interesting reward posters for the capture of American soldiers as well as some very racy Vietnamese surrender leaflets. Includes the book "The Paper War" by Gary Murtha detailing the history of these leaflets. As a bit of a warning, there are some very violent and sexualized theme photos here, so this may not be something you wish to casually leave out as a coffee table book., generally Fine to Very Fine. Shipping charges apply - weight 6.2 lbs. (Video for this lot) (Image)
