LotNo. Symbol CatNo. Lot Description
721   imageSweden, Extensive Advanced Mint Collection, 1855-2011. In three Stender albums with all stamps in black mounts, one of the best mint collections of Sweden we have seen in some time with some exceptional centering on the early material. Just a few stray used of shade varieties, otherwise all mint and complete from 1924 on. Some of the better items: #LX1-2, 2, 6-12 (8& 12 with certs), 13-16, 17, 19, 20 (also the blue-gray variety with cert (Facit #20b)), 22, 25-27, 28-36, 38, 40-49, 52-65, 66, 67-73, 77-94 (), 145-163, 164-166, 194-196, 197-212, 213-228, 229, B11, B12-21, J1-11, J12-22, O1-10 (o9 with cert), O8a, O12-25, and many more like the semi-official airmail from 1912 (Facit #HF1), inverted surcharges on the first set of airmails (C1a-3a), as well as on B26, B28, B30. A couple of incorrect surcharges as footnoted in Scott such as the 12ö + 8ö on B2 (Facit # 127 vI) and the 7ö+3ö on B9 (Facit #134v3). Also, much of this collection is in duplicate, as complete panes also have accompanying singles/pairs and many other extras as both ordinary & phosphorus paper, plate varieties, an excellent selection of military reply stamps, test booklets, tourist stamps, Frames, etc., generally Fine to Very Fine. Shipping charges apply - weight 19 lbs. (PDF for this Lot) (Image)

722   imageSweden, Extraordinary Specialized Classic Collection, 1855-1936, In ten binders, a truly awe-inspiring collection of classics with individual binders devoted to each series, from the Coat of Arms to Numeral and King Oscar II issues and ending with King Gustav V. All clearly identified by Facit number but also numerous entries not found in Scott covering watermark, color and plate varieties. One binder specifically for back-of-the-book, another showcasing 100's of stamps with circular town cancels, and yet another with various perfins including a book on the subject in Swedish entitled Svenska Skyddsperforeringer. Some of the highlights with quantities include #LX1 (2), LX2 (3), 2 (9), 4, 7 (2), 12 (7), 14 (8, one with certificate (Facit 15b2)), 18 (3), 21 (3), 26 (8), 27 (6 including an additional block of 6), 37 (2), 44 (10), etc. Most of this lot is viewable online either in the form of scans or video, overall Fine to Very Fine. 723   imageSweden, Magnificent Mostly Used Stock, 1872-2008, In 15 file boxes, tens of thousands of stamps and extremely well organized with all identified by Facit number; the owner has indexing throughout these files by catalogue numbers and further labeled individual glassines with the specific Facit number according to subvariety. Without a doubt, better items to be found including a section on Railway Mail with catalogue numbers referring to the Facit Postal catalogue. The final box has some random material and I couldn't help noticing a mint block of four of Scott #O4 along with three coil rolls. You'll certainly need the Facit catalogue for this lot, and if you would like to visit and view this lot in person, we have one you can borrow! Extremely high catalogue value, and overall Fine to Very Fine, a quick skim through some of the files is viewable online. Shipping charges apply - weight 38 lbs.
