LotNo. Symbol CatNo. Lot Description
648   imageJapan, "Nifty Nippon" Mostly Mint Collection in 17 Premium Albums, 1871-2017, Yes indeed, 17 albums total, all hingeless in excellent condition and in slipcases. The first volume is in a Lighthouse up until 1958, the next nine in Lindner from 1953-2006, and the final seven in Palo albums. A mostly used collection into the 1950s, then all mint and ever so close to being complete with only a handful not present. Gargantuan face but enormous catalogue value as well with better sets & singles, such as the following: used #2, 50, and mint 213, 288a, 361, 378a, 385a, 407-08, 415, 422-23, 437-38, 473a, 479, 457, 480-97, 504a (with folder), 517a, 519a, 522 (sheetlet), 545a, 551 (sheetlet), 564a (with folder), 572a (with folder), 575a, 576 (sheetlet), 580a, 582a (with folder), 594 (sheetlet), 606 (sheetlet), 617 (sheetlet), B11, C3-7, C9-13, C14-24, etc. Also, many additional booklets and hundreds of Mihon overprints added throughout the 1970s & 80s. Lots of room for expansion in the classics, but as far as the modern era, the work has already been done! As a bonus, a binder filled with mint blocks and souvenir sheets, another with about 30 FDCs, and a selection of mint, mostly booklets and souvenir sheets marked with catalogue number in a counter book, generally Fine to Very Fine, in addition to the first volume, one album from Lindner and Palo viewable online as reference.
