3528 cover 35 image1859, 10¢ green, type V (Scott 35), two singles and a vertical pair, on a legal size cover that carried documents fron San Francisco to Barre, N.Y.; the top stamp of the pair is folded over the top of the cover and the whole is wrapped with a green ribbon attached by four red wax seals (on mostly missing; the stamps are tied by Jan 31 (1861) c.d.s.s, including one on the back cancelling the stamp that was folded over; some edge wear and reduced somewhat at the right and one of the 10¢ singles damaged pre-use, but in remarkably good shape for a cover that carried thick contents acroos the country at a five-times rate.
