1550   imagePalestine + Jordan + Occupation, A Superior Holding of Key Stamps and Varieties, 1918-1982. A holding of many dozens of singles and sets mainly mint and containing a quantity of better items including inverted surcharges, double + triple surcharges and much more in profusion mainly mint except for some Austrian stamps used in Palestine, it begins with Palestine 1 with (3) used copies (Scott numbers) and 25c with (2) used, 15a-20a (1) mint L.H., 63-84 min less 79, L.H. and much more. Jordan includes B1-B12 mint L.H. The exceptional part of this holding is the Jordan Occupation or Palestine section or the "N" prefix numbers in Scott but these are primarily Stanley Gibbons listed varieties with the majority mint and most are N.H. We note, all S.G. numbers: 30 inverts including. block 33a in block of four, PD 23a invert, PT39 split overprint mint., PT35 invert overprint mint and much more too numerous to list. We note over $5400 in old retail prices plus another $3600 in converted S.G. pounds for $9,000 in this section and more that was not counted. All items are identified, and most are scarce and rarely offered, perfect for online sales or to augment your collection. Retail is well in excess of $10,000. Please view to fully appreciate. 1551   imagePalestine, The "Mandatory Viewing" Collection, 1918-48, a wonderfully specialized collection, mounted or hinged on homemade pages or arranged on stockpages, comprising the trilingual-overprinted EEF issues as well as the Pictorials, fully identified by perforation and paper type; remarkably complete, missing—judging from the spaces available—just a handful of items; note Gibbons #81a single and 81b pair, both with BPA certificate; Pictorials Specimens both overprinted (thin semi-transparent paper plus a thin paper coil strip of four in larger type) and perfined (vertically ribbed and white wove paper); a partial plating of the 2m (different overprints present), plus Dues, Courts Fees Revenues, two Airletters and a specialized plating section; bonus material in a second binder of Egyptian and Jordanian Occupation issues, mostly all mint; a couple covers added in for good measure; duplication light to useful, Fine to Very Fine with much better, well worth the time to review; imaged in full online.
