1032   imageMostly Mint Collection in Nine Hingeless Albums, 1861-2014, What a strange collection this is; despite missing numerous stamps of minimal value throughout, we have a complete set of mint Columbians as well as Zepps. Housed in nine volumes of American Heirloom Collection albums, the first 20 pages are almost complete vacant, so no wonder we do a double-take when we suddenly discover ourselves staring down the Columbians. And it doesn't end there, with many more better mint items waiting in the wings, like #285-87, 294-99, 323-25, 397-400A, 548-50, 571-73, 630, 658-79, C1-6, C13-15, C18, E7, and 46 Ducks in total, including RW1-10, RW12-18, RW21, RW23-25, RW28-30, RW32-33 and more. Modern era is a mixed bag after 1960, but still a huge amount of mint, considering the vast majority of mini-sheets and souvenir sheets up until 2010 are here, including the recalled Legends of the West sheet, generally Fine to Very Fine, some scans of higher value items available for online viewing. 1045   imagePremium Quality Mostly Mint Selection, 1861-1929, With many former auction lots and a whopping total of 27 certificates, this stunning lot features many gems; a few lesser expensive items but graded very high. Virtually all stamps nicely centered, used gently cancelled, and the majority of mint never hinged. Staggering catalogue value, and when we read what's in here, it's easy to understand why! We have the following mint… #73 (with cert), 214 (margin copy double-perfed), 233, 326, 328-30 (blocks, #330 with plate number), 330 (2), 373 (center line block), 562 (plate block of six), 566 (plate block of six), 569 (plate block of six), 586 (plate block of four), 616 (plate block of six), 668 (plate block of four), C18 (block with cert), E12a (block of six), QE4 (2 plate blocks of six, both with certs), etc. As for used, 69 (with cert), 116 (with cert), 117, 119, 217, and more, mostly Fine to Very Fine or better, many images available online. 1046   imageRiveting Mostly Mint Collection with over 1,200 Forever Stamps, 1851-2019, Good collections usually have strength in either the classics or the modern era; this one has both with page after page of complete mint right up to nearly the current year! But let's start with the classics of this 5-volume hingeless set of albums from Ka-be. Of the many better used, we have the following #35, 68, 71-73, 76-77, 113-15, 117, 165, 214-18, 229, 230-41, 275-76, 294-99, 300-11, 342, 404, 523-24, E3, E7 and some nice mint too, like 630, 803-34, C1-6, C18, Q1-9, Q11 and more. But as impressive as that is, the sheer quantity of mint is equally attention-grabbing. Already from the 1920s on, it is virtually all mint and in many respects nearly complete. In addition to the over 1,200 Forever stamps are multitudes of other high denomination stamps including Express Mail bringing the face count of this to a staggering level. A quick flip of one volume is viewable online as well as some scans from the earlier issues. Condition will vary, but mostly Fine to Very Fine. Shipping charges apply - weight 37.4 lbs. 1047   imageSeven-Volume American Heirloom Collection, 1851-2020, large collection neatly mounted; classics are sparse and mostly used; commemoratives, starting with the Columbians to $1 are mostly mint but with issues; it gets a little better as you go along with occasional useful items; latter issues are mixed mint and used but included a pile of face including fair amount of dollar-values; rough guesstimate is a couple of thousand dollars; Airs are complete including Zepps but have some issues; Back-of-the-Book is mixed; Special Delivery, Dues and Parcel Posts are mostly used though some are certainly usable; Officials, Newspapers, and Revenues do show some better suprises and somewhat stronger sections; early Ducks are used and mostly complete lacking only #RW4 and a few later but do have occasional flaws, from the mid-80's on they're mostly mint but they become scattered with a few of the more recent; light Possessions but with some potentially useful Hawaii; concludes with some interesting specialized Revenue sections; overall a useful face plus suprises collection; worth a look, Fine to Very Fine. 1048   imageMostly Mint Collection in Nine Hingeless Albums, 1847-2009, In nine hingeless Lindner albums with slipcases, volume 1 is quite barren, yet there are still enough premium items to hold one's interest, such as used #1, 9, 25, 208, 238-39, 241 and others. Volumes 2-7 in contrast are extremely well-filled and all mint. The collector has also gone out of their way on a number of occasions, for example, by inserting coil pairs with line, se-tenant blocks and modern coils with added plate number, mini-sheets for which there was no space provided in album, etc. In addition to the nine volumes, two extra binders of extended back-of-the-book including multiples of special delivery, postage dues, officials, parcel post, revenues, et al. Among the better mint in this collection are 399, 832b (with cert), 833 (center line block), 834, 1596d (block), C1, C4-6, C18, J1, K5, K14, K16 (with cert), O57, O88, O120, PR2, PR2a, PR3, RW5 and more. The final two volumes covering 1999-2009 are also sparsely populated, around $100 in face, but overall the amount of face up to this point is quite staggering. And let's not forget this set of albums themselves; it retails at nearly $3,000, and outside of the pencil marks in the left-hand margin denoting the catalog numbers, pages and binders are in immaculate condition. Condition of stamps varies early on, but is generally Fine to Very Fine, some images viewable online. Shipping charges apply - weight 74 lbs.
