Canada & Provinces
LotNo. Symbol CatNo. Lot Description
1484   imageCanada & Provinces, "The 49th Parallel" Mostly Mint Collection, 1851-1987, Dazzling collection in two hingeless Lighthouse albums; fantastic selection of classics with many added colour varieties. Mostly used until 1897, then virtually all mint from then on, and sans a few tagged stamps, looks otherwise complete. Among the better items you will find here are used #5, 12, 14, 17-20, 21-30, 25a, 40, 46-47, 62, 73, 84, 94-95, 102-03, F1-3 and unused 34-39, 50-61, 63-64, 74-79, 89-93, 101, 111-18, 102-22, 149-59, 62-77, E1-11. Some fantastic stamps from the provinces too, like Newfoundland used 34 & unused 30-31, 59, 61-74, 92-97, 98-101, 103, 106-14, 115-26, 144, 145-59, 163-82, C2, C12, C13-17, C18, New Brunswick used 1 & unused 6-11, Nova Scotia used 1, P.E.I. used 7 & unused 8, Vancouver Island used 9. And if this collection doesn't sound enticing enough already, there's a homemade album of booklet panes and complete booklets with 108a-09a, 153a, 163a, 166a, 195a-96a, 217a-19a just to name a few. Three hardcover editions of the Canada Annuals from 1999-2001 as an added bonus. If you collect stamps north of the border, this is one lot to be reckoned with! Numerous scans are available online, but please note that although a large portion of the classics are in fact never hinged, the markings in pencil below many stamps regarding gum may not always be totally accurate. Collection would be best assessed in person. Overall condition is, Fine to Very Fine, with some variance for the earlier issues as expected. Shipping charges apply - weight 22.8 lbs.
