imagePlate Block & Sheet Collection, 1927-2018, I hate to file this under "Face Value Lot" because this has a terrific plate block collection; no rarities but there are still quite a few which shouldn't be used as postage, like #644-45, 718-19, 740-49, 756-65, 859-93, 2870, C25-31, C46, etc., and from 1939 onwards looks complete with many duplicate blocks, often with different plate numbers or positions mounted on verso page. But there's no denying the enormous face value of this lot. Just from 1981-2018, there is nearly $5,000 in face, of which over $700 of that total is in Forever stamps. And to that we add a dozen mint sheet folders and other loose material adding at least another $1,000 in face; that's over $6,000 in face not even counting 1980 and before. So whether you're looking for postage or a powerhouse plate block collection, this is the one! generally Fine to Very Fine. Shipping charges apply - weight 47 lbs. (Image)

imageEclectic Estate, As Received, Face Value Holding, 1938-2000. A massive diverse lot containing 20 albums + stock books plus a 10 inch pile of mint sheet files and Scott pages with a face value total in excess of $6,300. We noticed 1938 Presidential issue plate blocks and a wide range of material up through the 34 cent values with a nice selection of sheets and plate blocks of the "wanted" issues as this is unpicked and everything is present. A lot of face in the 20 cent to 33 cent issues. We note 3 volumes of matched plate blocks of the 1954 presidential issue, Simply too much material to describe all, viewing is a pleasure, perfect for online sales. About $600 in face is stuck and the balance is clean and Fine to Very Fine. Shipping charges apply - weight 92.8 lbs. (Image)

image"Make a Face" Value Lot, 1937-87, The moment I pulled out a full sheet of 100 of the $2 William Jennings Bryan stamp, I knew we were dealing with some serious face here. Hundreds of full & partial sheets, the bulk between 15¢ & 22¢, but other higher denominations too, like a full sheet of #2193 and a pane of 20 of #2196. And I've never seen a mint sheet collection more attractive than this; accompanying most sheets are the new issue bulletins issued by USPS, including many having an additional FDC. A lot of postal stationery featured as well. Heck, forget the face value, this is a nice collection in and of itself! generally Fine to Very Fine. Shipping charges apply - weight 31.8 lbs. (Image)

image"Written All Over Your Face" Value Lot, 1924-2020, I'm starting to run out of "face" puns, but here is yet another face value lot; this particular collection has four volumes of the Scott National with a used collection from 1861 to about 1924 and almost entirely mint from then on. A large amount of higher denominations from numerous express mail to well over 1,000 forever stamps. The total face of this lot is at least $4,800. Also includes many stamps you wouldn't use for postage, therefore, not included in the tally, like nonprofits, postage dues, officials, and duck stamps, which by the way are nearly complete from 1984-2014, generally Fine to Very Fine. Mostly in blocks with plate number, Mail Early in the Day or Use Zip Code; the bulk is 5¢, 6¢ and 8¢, but plenty 20¢ and over as well. And not all of this should be used for postage; many better plate blocks, for example, #C8, C26-31, CE1, E13 (block of 4), E14 (2), E18, QE2-3 (blocks of 4)(2) and more. Estimated face is about $2,400 but could be much more. Don't lose face, bid today! Fine to Very Fine. Shipping charges apply - weight 33 lbs. (Image)

Fine to Very Fine. Shipping charges apply - weight 94.2 lbs. (Image)

image"Blue in the Face" Value Lot, 1926-2013, Another one of those lots which can be best taken at "face value". Mint sheet folders with a long lineup of 3¢ stamps, but many higher denominations too including nearly 300 forever stamps right up to the Harry Potter booklets. Speaking of booklets, there is one binder with an entire collection of them, both panes and complete booklets up until 1995 including #1909 (2) & 2122 (3). Total accumulative face for this lot is around $1600, and it's not just haphazardly thrown into a box but rather well organized in four Lindner albums, two Lighthouse stockbooks, all with slipcases, and the above-mentioned sheet folders. Singles, plate blocks, booklets, mini-sheets, etc, generally Fine to Very Fine. Shipping charges apply - weight 62 lbs. (Image)

imageMuch Better Than Face - Face Value Accumulation, mostly from 1920s-60s, each sorted into envelope by the 100, with over $900 face value, but there are many better items lurking around these envelopes, we noted several better groups including 220, 230, 231 (3), 295 (5), some Washington / Franklins including what looks like a 391 paste up pair, 528 strip of 4, lots of 2c reds, 653 (many), 656, 840 (several larger strips), 846 (6c Presidential coil, almost 200 in coil strips). This is a great treasure hunt lot because obviously, this person didn't care about Scott value when they were sorting these stamps, so you might to find some $30 stamps right next to a 3c commemorative, o.g., some never hinged / some hinged / a few without gum; some mixed condition, generally Fine to Very Fine.
