1683   imageFrench Colonies, Lebanon & Syria Specialized Collection of Overprints & Surcharges, 1920-43, Although much is now listed in the Scott Classic, it would be helpful to have a Y&T catalogue on hand, yet even that often won't be enough, as there is quite a bit of unlisted material here in the form of overprints and surcharges gone wrong - inverted, double, shifted, printed on the gum side, missing a letter or punctuation, and so on. Take the following mint Lebanon, for example, Yvert #63a, 66a. 67a, 68a, 78a, 100a, 116a-b, 120d, and many more. Also many stamps as they were meant to be issued with a lot of scarcer material, like mint Scott #53, 69-70, 78-79. You'll also encounter blocks of various sizes, millĂ©sime pairs, even a few covers, like one from Beirut to Canton (present-day Guangzhou) from 1921. An alluring lot to say the least, and one that has been photographed in full, mostly Fine to Very Fine. Shipping charges apply - weight 2.4 lbs. (PDF for this Lot) (Image)
