1653   imageChile, "Pais de Poetas" Exquisite Mint/Used Classic Collection, 1867-1948, Beautifully presented homemade collection in one binder; already from page one, we realize that this is no ordinary collection. Beginning with a page of British stamps cancelled in South America with examples from Caldera and Valparaiso, we are then presented with an entire page of Spiro forgeries, after which we're treated to genuine stamps of the 19th century, including a couple on cover, such as one sent inland with #15 & 18 making up the overweight rate. There are examples of postage stamps used as revenues on documents, and conversely, revenues on cover used as postage, such as AR11 (pair). Many unusual items too, like additional pages of revenues and telegraph stamps, postal seals, some postal stationery, inverted surcharges and unlisted overprint varieties. As far as those listed in Scott, many better including mint 20-24, 39-49, 68-78, 186-97, C89, O9-13, O15 and used 15-19, 25-36, 124-26, C6-8, C9-14, C124, O14, O16. As a bonus, 100's of more modern used issues on stocksheets. Condition varies a bit, but generally Fine to Very Fine, collection viewable in full. Shipping charges apply - weight 5 lbs.
