1855 cover   image[Oregon Territory] "Portland O.T., Nov 20th 1830", manuscript postmark with "pr California" and "40 paid" on a very clean folded letter to Fort Smith, Ark.; interesting two-page letter notes that the writer is getting "ready to go down to Astoria (120 miles) to meet the Pacific Mail Steamer for San Francisco", but is "quite alarmed at the news just received from there of the prevalence of the cholera", remarkably fresh and Extremely Fine.
