2   image1892, Singer Manufacturing Co., group of 36 different advertising cards, bright and in remarkably fresh condition, each illustrating the famous sewing machine in a different area of the world, with locales ranging from Algeria to Zululand; full-front depiction of local(s) in traditional dress, with half-back description of the location (written in a certain age) and extolling Singer's sales prowess or—somewhat surprisingly, perhaps—the machine's "civilising" effects; a magnificent group, mostly likely (given the copyright date) for presentations at the Columbian World's Fair.
