116 61 image1861, 30¢ red orange, First Design (Scott 61), now catalogued as #71TC6, slightly disturbed o.g., with immensely rich, deep color and immaculate impression; small corner crease at bottom right, Fine, an exceptional example of this very scarce stamp, only 34 examples of which are recorded (33 available to collectors, one in the Miller Collection at the New York Public Library), ex Drews, with 2019 P.F. certificate.

All 1861 Premiere Gravures are difficult to find, with the higher denominations exceedingly rare and missing from even the most advanced collections.
