Wells, who made and sold "Ladies' & Gents' Boots & Shoes, of all styles"; the stamp is flawless, the cover with backflap removed and several expertly repaired edge nicks or tears, Very Fine, ex Gross, Hackmey, LeBow & Keightley, with 1991 P.F. certificate.

Without question, one of the finest extant Chicago perf covers. Any such usage is rare, this cover especially so with the corner card advertisement.
