601   image[Michigan Colleges] University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, spectacular all-over lithographed illustration on the back of a cover picturing a view of the University Campus and featuring several Buildings as they appeared in 1863, franked with a grid-canceled 3¢ rose (65) and postmarked by a Nov 5 Ann Arbor c.d.s., to Jamaica, L.I., N.Y.; bit of damp staining visible mainly on the address side, otherwise Very Fine. Included is a 1964 newspaper clipping showing the same lithograph and identifying the buildings. It also notes some interesting facts about the University's 1862-63 "session".
