 1851 Letter Detailing Cross-Country Journey by Waterway, folded letter with a red June 9 Jersey City, N.J. c.d.s. and matching "10" rate on a three-page folded letter to Potosi, Mo.; letter is a marvelous
account of a trip from St. Louis to New York via Steamer and Canal Boat with plenty of details, ranging from an onboard cholera outbreak to terrible food and overcrowded accommodations, Fine to Very Fine.
