673 C4 imageAirmail, 1923, 8¢ dark green (Scott C4), lower right full pane of 100, a remarkable survivor, with plate number "14824" at bottom and right, initials "J.McF" at lower right and guide arrow left and guide lines left and top; right selvage very narrow (appears reduced, but the cut is too precise), decapitating the right-hand plate number; radiant color on pristine paper, printed at the peak of flat-bed perfection; a few perforation separations at margins (you keep all your pieces intact at 97!), but overall a simply beautiful pane that would make a lovely centerpiece to an Airmail exhibition; Scott catalogue value as two plate blocks of six plus 88 singles, o.g., never hinged, Very Fine or better, most certainly one of only a handful that remain.
