113 53 var. image1918, 2c vermilion & black, faint "CANAL ZONE" doubling (Scott 53 var.), bottom right corner margin block of 6, the overprint on the bottom right affected by preprinting paper fold that separated the "CANA" of CANAL from the "L" and caused a faint doubling of the "CANA" "ZONE" overprint; the overprint on the other 5 stamps is normal, the paper fold slightly affects the left bottom stamp, part o.g.; some light creasing and perforation separation reinforced with hinges, Very Good to Fine, possibly unique as Canal Zone Stamps does not note another examples; the bottom row of this block is illustrated on page 98 of Canal Zone Stamps they do not mention the faint doubling of "CANAL ZONE" in their discussion of the block.
