Worldwide, Select Group of Special Flight Ephemera & Covers, A lovely compilation of early special flight promotional labels, covers and ephemera, gathered over the years in a single slipcased album, the material ranging from early Scandinavian, the 1925 French survey flight to Senegal, Mermoz ephemera and a lovely group of the 1926 Norge Arctic flight. Several have not been previously recorded. Of particular interest is a specially produced souvenir booklet about the 1925 Senegal flight and two proofs of the label for CIDNA's first flight to Baghdad. The 10th anniversary of Italian aviation is represented by lovely set of postcards. The collector did not intend to make this an exhaustive collection but rather to show what can be done with perseverance and a bit of lateral thinking. It would be a pleasure to continue this study. Worldwide, Pre-WWI Aviation Collection, mounted on 11"x17" pages in a single volume. Several hundred items pertaining to various aspects of aviation, primarily air meets and competitions with strength in Belgium, France and Italy; smaller representation from Germany, Monaco, Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. A nice group of 1912 Argentina Semi-Official stamps and rare material from Egyptian Heliopolis meet of 1910 are included. All manner of paraphilatelic material tell stories of this early era such as programs, postcards, special promotional vignettes, contemporary newspaper clippings and magazine coverage. Worldwide, Transatlantic Airmail Services Collection, 1939-45, A Large Gold-winning (2023 Rocky Mountain Stamp Show) ten-frame, 120-page exhibition collection exploring the destinations and routes for mail carried across the Atlantic and to/from Europe, Africa and Asia during WWII. The development of each commercial and military airmail route is chronicled using commercial mail and a few key collectors' covers. While the exhibit emphasizes Pan American Airlines' work, key operations of other airlines, including the ATC, are noted as well. The exhibit is divided into three sections: North Atlantic Operations, South Atlantic Operations, and Africa Operations.
