3203 cover 163 image1873, 15¢ yellow orange, C.B.N.C. printing (Scott 163), bright with clean color, tied by "New Haven/MAR 3/Conn./82" duplex to Wellington, Cape of Good Hope, South Africa; front also shows red opera glasses Mar 4/50 mark, the back with unclear MR 14, plus legible Apr. 8 "Cape Town/Cape Colony" transit and Wellington receiver; cover reduced at left, stamp with a couple rough perforations at top and bottom, otherwise appears sound, Fine to Very Fine.

While the stamp could be an A.B.N.C. printing, the paper does not show the soft porous paper's usual patterning when held to strong light. A late use of the Continental 15¢, to an uncommon destination. (Image)
