The Curtiss Aeroplane Co. had a series of 19 labels produced to be inserted into cigarette packs for advertising purposes. Under contract with the Colombian Government, the Compania Colombiana de Navegacion Aerea (SCADTA) arranged to have nine of the labels overprinted for use as Air Post stamps. The designs of the other 10 were deemed inconvenient to arrange for the overprint or not appropriate for use. (Image) (Image2)
