The Terrence A. Corrigan Atlantic Isles Collection - June 11, 2026

A majestic collection of mint and used stamps along with alluring postal history, built over a lifetime by a knowledgeable and quality-conscious collector. Focusing on Bermuda, the Leeward Islands, Nevis, and St. Christopher, this attention-grabbing holding offers specialized material rarely if ever encountered, including Proofs, Essays and Trial Colors, Specimens, perforation varieties/errors, along with highly sought-after mint and used singles in exceptional quality. One glance through the catalogue will attest to the collection’ comprehensiveness and refinement; a more studied review will tempt you to bid—and to do so aggressively.

Terrence A. Corrigan

Terrence A. Corrigan of Pinehurst, NC, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025. Terry was born on May 13, 1954, in Boston, MA, the grandson of Irish immigrants, and the first of five children of Andrew and Ruth Corrigan, a firefighter and a home economics teacher in Newton, MA. He attended Our Lady Help of Christians through eighth grade, graduated from Boston College High School in 1972, Columbia College in 1976, and Columbia Law School in 1981.

In 1990 Terry married Leslie Gallmeyer, who predeceased him in October 2022.

Terry was exceptionally generous to both friends and strangers. His friends were often the recipients of unexpected and unrequited birthday and holiday gifts. It was common for him to pay the tabs of strangers in restaurants and host young golfers and their families at his home in Pinehurst. His charitable nature was totally selfless. He was also very industrious his whole life.

He always was a knowledgeable and savvy buyer, limiting his selections and buying only items with incredible visual appeal.

He did an especially deep dive into his British Isles collections of Bermuda, Leeward Islands, St. Christopher, and Nevis collections including Proofs, Essays, Trial Colors, cancels, varieties, multiples, and postal history.

It is a true pleasure having been chosen to bring this collection to market. Please enjoy his holdings as much as we did in working with them.

As stated earlier, Terry's generous nature is continuing as all of the consignor proceeds are being donated to Colombia University and several other institutions. Bid accordingly, knowing that you are not only enhancing your collection but also supporting Terry's favorite charities by providing funding to worthy organizations.
