1907 Large Canoes horizontal strips of 6 comprising ½d Types I-III + I-III, 1d to 1/- Types I-VI, the 6d split into two strips of
3, some reinforcing otherwise superb with most units being unmounted, Cat £1800+, for normal singles. Very scarce multiples: absent from John Darnell's collection and 'Besancon' had only the ½d 1d & 2d. Because the clichés for each denomination were
prepared individually, the six sub-types vary from value to value. Ex John Gibson on his annotated display pages; sold at our auction of 27.3.2025 for $1140 (Sale 259 Lot 2133).
