1965 Parliamentary Conference 2/- Wellington with the Magenta Printing (City Highlights and Mace & Sceptre at Upper-Left)
Completely Omitted SG 837a (CP S102aZ), minor (characteristic ?) gum disturbance, Cat £1400 (NZ$4000). Sold at a New Zealand auction for NZ$2000 plus commission. All the authorities state that a faint outiline of the Mace & Sceptre is evident,
suggesting this is not a total colour omission. It appears to us that the regalia were printed twice, magenta being added to give the regalia 'substance'. With a normal stamp for comparison. (2) (Image1) (Image2)
