 1886-96 'POSTAGE & REVENUE' Perf 11½-12½ 2/6d to £5 grey plus £15 horizontal strips of 5 plus £20 strip of 3 all overprinted
'SPECIMEN', a few defects on the £5 & £15 strips, large-part streaky gum characteristic of the official reprints for UPU distribution, some units unmounted. Ex 'Dubois' (IV) - sold for SFr1815 - where implied to include the absent £10 and stated to
be the largest recorded multiples, but see Lot 2382.

4 from the base of the sheet, CTO with Melbourne cds with the dateslugs removed, full unmounted gum, Cat £10,000+ for singles. Superb. Ex Australia Post Archives Sale 1 (1987) & Ed Williams - sold in 2002 for $8400 - and at at our auction of
30.8.2020 for $7790 (Sale 242 Lot 1443). This was the highest denomination block released by Australia Post. It is highly unlikely any other blocks of this or the £20 exist in private hands. (Image1) (Image2)

 1904-11 Tall Stamps with Thick 'POSTAGE' Wmk Crown/SA 6d to £1 (both) including listed shades & a second 10/-, 8d with Value
Closer, 9d & 1/- both with the Watermark Inverted, 1/- corner block of 4 & corner pair with '3d 008070' in the margin, 2/6d corner single with '2/6 2125' in the margin, and punctured 'OS' 6d 9d 1/- 5/- (black marks on the gum) & £1 ( a rare stamp),

 1906-12 QV De La Rue Tall Stamps Thick 'POSTAGE' Crown/A Watermark Perf 11 3d pale olive-green SG 298e corner block of 4 from the
lower-right of the sheet, the lower units with an Additional Row of Horizontal Perfs Misplaced above the Value Tablet and Corrected with Another Line of Perf 11 ACSC S37b, some minor perf separation/reinforcing, Cat $9000+ for singles (£4800+ for
normal singles). Ex Rev James Mursell and Don Pearce: sold for $4550 (Sale 249 Lot 1412). Only four such blocks were recorded, but the ACSC illustrates a lower pair, indicating that at least one of the blocks has been broken-up. Absent from the
Michael Blake, 'Besancon' and Gary Diffen collections. Ed Williams' two normal mint singles sold for $1415 and $2265 respectively.

 1906-12 QV De La Rue Tall Stamps Thick 'POSTAGE' Crown/A Watermark Perf 12 9d dull lake corner block of 6 (3x2) from the lower-left
of the sheet comprising two horizontal strips of 3 Imperforate Between and at Left ACSC S52bb (SG 302aa), light vertical bend across the central units, ink-stain on the reverse at lower-left just shows through the face, Cat $10,000+ (£13,000+), for
two strips of 3. One of the great error pieces of the early Federal Period. The ACSC records only this block of 6 and a strip of 3 but Gary Diffen noted a second strip that is "badly toned". His strip of 3 - also with light vertical bend - sold for
