JRW Purves 'Expert Opinion' dated "15th February 197-" (no year) describes but doesn't illustrate the stamp: good grief! Don Pearce's very fine example sold for $3355 (Sale 247 Lot 109). Absent from 'Besancon'. [Gary Diffen stated that five examples

so cut from the sheet to preserve the design, GPO cds of 'SP3/69', Cat £650. Rated RRRRRR but we have recorded four rouletted examples so it should be rated RRRR, plus a premium for being imperforate. Ex 'Sir Humphrey' (Brian Farmer): sold for $1795
(Sale 118 Lot 291). Chris Ceremuga Certificate (2010) states "rouletted (weakly)...extremely rare" but we can see no evidence of rouletting being present. Michael Blake's example with full rouletting sold at our auction of 14.4.2005 for $2680 (Sale
