THAILAND (SIAM) STAMPS USED IN KEDAH: 'TUM[PAT]/KELAN[TAN]' single-ring cds partial strike on 1910 New Currency 6s red plus similar
strikes on 12s olive & black and on 14s blue and another '16.SEP.12' strike of the date & base inscription only on 2s green & orange, unlisted by Gibbons. Used after the formal transfer of Kelantan to the British in 1909 (and hence not listed by
Gibbons); Tumpat is a small town at the mouth of the Kelantan River on the South China Sea, immediately SE of the Thai border, and presumably continued using Thai stamps after the formal transfer. Ex Dr William Wells.
