40 letters at $30 postage with rare & exceptional combination franking of Straits Settlements 'BMA/MALAYA' Overprints KGVI Scroll Design Keyplates inscribed 'REVENUE/REVENUE' $25 carmine & brown and Johore Royal Silver Wedding $5 green (small faults
where affixed over edge) tied by 'JOHORE BAHRU/14JAN49' cds cancel, minor folds affecting the $5 only. From the 1870s onwards, the Malayan Post Offices recognised a system whereby carriers sent bundles of letters from Chinese immigrants to their
families in China at special 'bulk postage' rates. This rare item proves genuine postal usage of the $25 revenue stamp. Ex Dr William Wells.

'REVENUE/REVENUE' $25 carmine & brown plus Malayan Federation 25c Tin Dredge tied by 'PONTIAN/14JAN59/JOHORE' cds cancels, minor folds affecting the 25c only, some repaired edge faults & adhesion marks on the reverse where affixed to a parcel. From
