1884-91 'JOHOR' Overprints on Straits Settlements QV 2c pale rose Type 10 SG 10 complete pane of 60 (6x10) from the Triplet Setting
with the margins removed, the left-hand triplet in the fifth row Overprint Double SG 10b x3, the left-hand triplet in the eighth row with Partial Overprint Double, all units in the third & sixth columns with Broken Serif on Left Foot of 'R', but
without Narrow 'J' of 'JOHOR' [Pos 6/6] that occurred only on the forme of 60, well-centred, light overall gum tropicalisation & a couple of small tonespots on the reverse not affecting the variety units, unmounted, Cat £4500+ for mounted singles. A
rare pane: Dr FE Wood stated at page 9 that he owned a complete pane of the triplet setting. Other commentators of the time were aware of only the setting of 60, which contained the Narrow 'J' of 'JOHOR' variety. The 'Sentosa' Overprint Double single
